Human Rights and Environmental Responsibility Policy
Foreword
As a European company operating in the defense, aerospace, and security sectors, Skyline s.r.o. is committed to promoting not only technological excellence and operational reliability but also the protection of human rights and the environment throughout our business and supply chains.
Our responsibility extends beyond compliance — it includes actively identifying, preventing, and mitigating risks to human dignity, environmental integrity, and ethical conduct. We believe that sustainable success can only be achieved if our global operations are aligned with the values of fairness, safety, and ecological responsibility.
With this policy, Skyline publicly commits to upholding internationally recognized human rights and environmental standards, and expects the same commitment from all employees, business partners, and suppliers.
Scope of Application
This policy applies to all business units of Skyline s.r.o., including its employees, contractors, and subsidiaries. It also applies to our entire value chain, including direct and indirect suppliers, logistics providers, and partner entities.
1. Commitment to Human Rights and Environmental Standards
Skyline aligns with the following international instruments:
- United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights
- Core Conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO C29, C87, C98, C100, C105, C111, C138, C182)
- UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
- UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
- International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights
- Basel Convention, Stockholm Convention, and Minamata Convention on toxic substances and pollutants
We oppose all forms of forced labor, child labor, discrimination, unsafe working conditions, and environmental destruction. These principles are embedded in our internal policies (e.g., Ethics Charter) and in our Supplier Code of Conduct.
Skyline’s operations are conducted in accordance with the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG), EU regulations, and applicable Czech and international law. Where local laws are more stringent, we comply with the higher standard.
2. Strategy
2.1 Responsibility
- Responsibility for implementation lies with the Executive Management and a designated Human Rights & Compliance Officer.
- Compliance functions (HR, HSE, Procurement, Legal) collaborate to apply risk controls and corrective measures.
- Oversight includes annual updates, KPIs, and internal reporting mechanisms.
2.2 Risk Analysis
- We conduct regular human rights and environmental risk assessments within Skyline and across our supply chains.
- External indices and tools (e.g., Global Rights Index, Slavery Index, Gender Gap Index) inform our evaluations.
- Risk is weighted by severity, reversibility, probability, and our capacity to influence outcomes.
- Special attention is given to risks in procurement, occupational safety, wage policies, and non-discrimination.
2.3 Preventive and Corrective Measures
- Preventive steps include clear supplier requirements, training programs, and contract clauses.
- Internal measures include safe working conditions, anti-discrimination policies, and compliance audits.
- Corrective measures are applied promptly in response to verified violations, including warnings, training, or termination of supplier relations.
- Skyline adapts these measures based on changing geopolitical, social, and regulatory contexts.
2.4 Complaint Mechanism
- Complaints may be submitted via secure digital whistleblower channels, email, or physical mail.
- All complaints are treated confidentially, with protections for the identity of whistleblowers.
- Reports can address concerns within Skyline or regarding supply chain risks (human rights or environmental).
- The reporting process is available in English and Czech and accessible via our compliance webpage.
2.5 Documentation and Reporting
- Compliance with this policy is documented and reviewed annually.
- A summary of implementation status is made publicly available upon request.
- Internal reports inform management decisions on procurement, partnerships, and risk mitigation.
- Skyline maintains audit readiness to demonstrate fulfillment of due diligence requirements under LkSG or equivalent laws.
Final Remark
Skyline is committed to making the world safer — not only through the technologies we deliver, but through the values we uphold. This declaration represents both a corporate obligation and a personal commitment from every member of our team.
Together, we are building a responsible, ethical, and sustainable defense ecosystem.
